Same here. I can't see moving to 5 for at least a year, so the
continued support for 4.1 is most welcome!

I think this work is important for T4 users but also for the overall
tapestry community as it's important to show that tapestry framework

a reasonable way for who invested in it.
IMHO even T5 adoption will benefit from T4 support and evolution.

That's great Andreas! Is there a plan to also provide a "standard"
adapter to dojo 1.0? the fact that this is called "beyonddojo" is
confusing :-)

I just uploaded the docs, so you can now see what is possible with
4.1.4-SNAPSHOT at:
http://tapestry.apache.org/tapestry4.1/ajax/beyonddojo.html

The adapter javascript file mentioned is:

I'm aware we need more docs + an example implementation, but lack of

Supposedly 4.1.4 will offer an upgraded dojo package. And hopefully to 1.0,
not 0.9.

Which is precisely the reason why Tapestry should be Javascript
library-agnostic and allow hooks so you can tie in your own function calls
or those of other libraries.

RE: T4.1.3 - Upgrade Dojo

This would mean changing tapestry's built-in javascript libraries since
they use dojo extensively and dojo's api changed incompatibly between
0.4.x and 0.9. I'd say this would be quite some work.
