RE: best book for T5
I wonder how many people would be interested in the German version compared to an English version. Are there many German Tapestry developers? Perhaps it would be interesting to know the geographic spread of developers using this framework. I assume the publishers have done their homework and know there will be a big enough audience for the book to make money. -Original Message- From: Igor Drobiazko [mailto:igor.drobia...@gmail.com] Sent: 17 June 2009 08:06 To: Tapestry users Subject: Re: best book for T5 First we have to release the german book. If somebody of you is interested in a book translation, just comment here. I will forward this thread to the publisher. The more interests available the more likely they will do it. So give the publisher the impression how big is the market for the translated book. P.S: Cover is really awful. I love it. Well, this community can help to make the publisher's decision easier. If somebody of you is interested in a book translation, just comment here. I will forward this thread to the publisher. Well, the only one book about t5 is http://www.amazon.com/Tapestry-Applications-step-step-developer-friendly/dp/1847193072/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1244788318&sr=8-1 But this one is out dated-and covers a very early beta version of Tapestry 5. Right now I'm writing a new one which covers 5.1.0.5 but the book is written in German: http://www.amazon.de/Tapestry-Die-Entwicklung-Webanwendungen-Leichtigkeit/dp/3827328446/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1244788645&sr=8-3 Who knows, maybe my publisher will translate it in English if there will be a market.
