Hi,

I am facing the same problem.
Any ideas on what might be wrong ?

I am using : 
- Windows Server 2008
- Xwiki 4.2 Standalone version
- Google Chrome

in the file : XWIKI/webapps/xwiki/WEB-INF/xwiki.cfg, the variable
xwiki.plugins contains at the end :   
com.xpn.xwiki.plugin.watchlist.WatchListPlugin, \
com.xpn.xwiki.plugin.tag.TagPlugin, \
com.xpn.xwiki.plugin.ratings.RatingsPlugin

I restarted XWIKI, and modify a new page with the following WIKI code : 
{{velocity}}
$xwiki.ratings.name
{{/velocity}}

But when displaying the page, I have : $xwiki.ratings.name

I don't think so ... When you restart Tomcat, do you have any error about the
ratings plugin ?

Thanks for your reply. I have reinstalled the ratings extension multiple
times, but with no effect.


Maybe the problem is the container restarting. If I restart the xwiki
container I´m getting a Apache/Tomcat error:

javax.servlet.ServletException: com.xpn.xwiki.XWikiException: Error number 3
in 0: Could not initialize main XWiki context

So I need to restart the whole Tomcat to get my XWiki working again. Could
this be the problem?

Also, just in case, ensure that you have restarted xwiki container after
having declared the plugin in xwiki.cfg.
