*Interview next week: Telephonic + Face-Face Interview* *Position Summary: * - Perform initial assessment of required artifacts for data migration and collaborate with the project teams to derive, plan, and validate the agreed baseline documentation. - Review and provide input to physical data mapping design, migration load process, migration plan, and migration schedule. - Develop with Oracle PL/SQL and/or C# to extend ETL functionality. - Design and develop exception and error handling. - Tune and optimize ETL jobs for performance and throughput. - Document ETL processes, programs and solutions as per established standards. - Implement automated load validation processes where possible and practical. - Conduct ETL optimization, troubleshooting and debugging. - Create, implement, execute, and document test plans for ETL and data integration processes and programs. - Design and develop data verifications and validation processes. - Using all available tools (i.e. Complex SQL, SSRS Reporting, automated testing, Code review, manual testing, etc.), validate target data load against spec and requirements. - Perform data quality analysis on migration of data from multiple source systems to a new enterprise application. ·Perform data migration audit, reconciliation and exception reporting. - Support all phases and levels of migration activities: trial migrations, quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing, production load verification, and operational trial. - Conducts post implementation review of data migration process. - Assist in resolution of post-production issues. - Conduct troubleshooting of production issues. - Manage post-production data quality monitoring. - Quickly identify and resolve migration-related production issues. Experience Required: - Candidate must be strong and balanced, technically and analytically. - Minimum 5 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing ETL solutions using enterprise ETL tools. - Expert-level SQL and PL/SQL development skills. - More than 10 years of experience in writing complex and optimized SQLs/Stored Procedures/Functions etc in Oracle. - Good understanding of core Oracle concepts. - Good knowledge of Oracle advanced querying techniques and writing high performing and optimized queries. - Proven experience in tuning SQLs for performance improvements for a very high volume database. - Experience working in (preferably Java based) high volume transactional system (which uses a OR mapping framework like Hibernate/JPA) and working closely with the technical team leads. - Experience in migrating large datasets from one schema to a newer schema is a plus. - This is not a DBA role but knowledge of AWR reports, Oracle administration, Oracle RAC etc is desired. - Solid understanding of flat file formats and file format conversion. - Deep working knowledge of demands and complexities inherent to enterprise architecture. - Experience working on large scale data migration projects where data is transferred from multiple target systems (i.e. DB2, mainframe, Oracle, etc.) to a single Oracle Database. - Demonstrated ability to author code in PLSQL and which are currently used in this project for ETL development. - SSIS, MDS, and DQS experience helpful. If no experience with SSIS, must have experience with other ETL tools. - Ability to create and manage ETL packages, triggers, stored procedures, views, SQL transactions. - Ability to identify and diagnose ETL and database related issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. - Proven experience importing, cleansing, mapping, transforming, validating, or modeling data with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data and data quality. - Extensive experience troubleshooting and solving complex technical problems. - Ability to create reports and statistics with BI tools (SSRS is preferred). - Ability to communicate goals and instructions in a clear and efficient manner. - Experience with Agile software development and possession of the adaptable spirit that thrives in an Agile environment. - Dedicated to excellence in one's work; detail-oriented and thorough. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "USITCV" group.
