One needs to be able to handle development through implementation as a Tech Lead, the other can be less experienced, but needs to be able to maintain Web Services as needed. Additionally, both need to have COBOL, CICS, and JCL experience. Practitioners of the IT Application Development profession primarily focus on providing high quality, cost effective information technology solutions to business partners by creating new or modifying and/or supporting existing software applications. Associates are expected to design, code, analyze, configure, unit test, and maintain applications. With full competency, devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications programming activities. Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, mathematics or related field is strongly preferred. The resource will be responsible for development conforming to customer standards and requirements and will be involved in the unit testing and validation against desired outcomes. The resource is expected to function as part of a team which includes customers and must demonstrate sufficient communication skills to ensure success. Skills Requirements: Required Skills: •Prior experience in mainframe COBOL and JCL application development in a Z/OS environment accessing DB2 databases. •Experience with COBOL, JCL and SQL Error handling and Debugging •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Must be team player and get along well with others •Ability to independently research problems and provide solutions.
