Please include your employer details as well.* *Job Title* *Oracle Database Administrator* *Project Location* *NY-New York/Nyc* *Duration* *6 months /Contract* * mode of interview:telephonic and face to face skilss The Oracle and SQL Database Administrator is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and monitoring of the firm’s database systems, and providing solutions to database problems. • Database server administration (creation, configuration, set-up, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting/problem resolution, performance tuning) • Application database support (database import/export, security, and performance tuning) • Documentation development (standards, procedures, and other technical documentation) • Monitor ongoing performance of Oracle databases and SQL server databases. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years overall experience with at least 4 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrator, working directly with both database servers handling mission critical production environment • Experience working with Oracle 11g in a unix environment • Experience in the use of Oracle Data Guard, shell scripting in unix environment, PL/SQL, RMAN, Oracle Grid Control, Oracle Diagnostics and Tuning Packs , performance tuning, SQL Server Report Service, Windows Clustering, and DoubleTake • Exposure to SQL 2012 a plus • Experience with LVTS or DoubleTake a plus • Comfortable to resolve issues independently with a sense of urgency and confident in supporting a fast-pace environment* *Oracle DBA, SQL Server DBA, Oracle 11g, Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, Oracle Grid Control, Oracle Diagnostics, PL/SQL, shell scripting, Tuning Packs, Performance Tuning, SQL Server Report Service, Windows Clustering, DoubleTake Diagnostics.
