SQL DBA/ Programmer Analyst
*Location: Commerce, CA(LOCAL REQUIRED)* *$55/HR* Job description The Programmer Analyst / SQL DBA position will be responsible for supporting our Client’s ERP environment including, but not limited to, Microsoft SQL Server and Dynamics GP. · Review, design, develop, trouble-shoot and document programs, processes and reports. · Interact with users and software vendors / consultants to assess needs and implement and ensure the accuracy of changes and updates to existing systems. · Test and verify the accuracy of data, calculations, and reports in the systems. · Support implementation of new programs, upgrades or conversions of systems. · Assist and train users on systems and applications. · Install, configure and upgrade SQL Server software and related products. · Design, create, maintain and insure recoverability of SQL Server databases. · Allocate systems storage and develop plans for future storage requirements. · Establish effective database performance monitoring procedures. · Control and monitor user access to databases and maintain database security. · Provide reliable, recoverable and scalable database computing environments to store and integrate company data. · Responsible for 7x24 support of production databases. · Set up and maintain documentation and standards. Experience · Must have 4 to 7 years of SQL Server database experience. · Enterprise production DBA experience working in a mid to large sized company required. · Experience with SQL Server 2008 and 2012. · Experience managing multi-terabyte databases. · Experience managing high volume OLTP systems. · Experience with SSIS, SSAS and SSRS. · Requirements include: Strong knowledge of database backup and recovery, dbcc commands and maintenance tasks. · Expert in query optimization with a focus on creating and maintaining index and stats. · Storage performance analysis. (RAID, SAN, Partitioning). · Performance tuning experience using profiler, extended events, perfmon and DMV queries Experience with SQL Server HA technologies (clustering, mirroring, log shipping, replication, AlwaysON, etc.). · Experience with Dynamics GP preferred.
