Role: SAS Statistician Technician Location: Denver, CO Duration: 6+ Months Interview type: Telephonic/Skype Description: *Responsibilities - * A. Manage client’s expectations. Execute statistical and other modelling projects as and when required. B. Hands on involvement in extracting, collating, performing data integrity checks, manipulating and analyzing data C. Hands on involvement in suggesting and building an appropriate statistical model relevant to the Media/Entertainment industry D. Developing analytical strategies for business using model results of predictive modeling, time series forecasting, clustering and segmentation of customers E. Documenting and presenting work to the client. Proactively recommending and influencing changes in business decision-making. *Skills -* A. A desirable candidate should have 6/7 years of relevant experience in the field of analytics. B. Strong modeling background using SAS is necessary. C. Should have good SQL Knowledge D. Should have hands-on experience in handling large datasets and should be familiar with models using—linear regression, logistic regression, ANOVA/ANCOVA, optimization techniques, time series modelling, segmentation, decision tree, clustering and simulation based analysis. E. The candidate should have a Masters or Ph. D. degree in either Economics (econometrics) or Statistics or MBA (with strong quantitative background). F. The candidate must have excellent inter-personal skills, presentation & documentation skills, flexibility & adaptability and ability to work in a team environment. G. Knowledge of media industry is preferred. H. Demonstrated ability / experience in project management and client relationship management for at least two years is required.
