*Job Title : Web Editor / Junior .Net Web DeveloperLocation : Fairfax, VADuration : 3+Months ContractRate : 25/hr on C2C (MAX)Job Description:* Wed Developer position, do mostly internal internet web apps and support different projects Looking for strong ASP.NET, VB.Net, VBA on the MS Access side, familiarity with scripting elements (creating FTP scripts, implementing it into VBA/VB.net environment), V-Edit/Monarch would be a big plus Need to be familiar with data mining side (Monarch or any other data mining tools) DtD: several daily monitoring processes that need to be run every day (app updates and etc), troubleshooting if smth wrong, need to have enough programming knowledge to troubleshoot it independently; maintaining and developing apps (have few projects that are in work, will need to pick up when it was left off, including docs, meeting with clients); need ability to take notes, conduct meetings and address customer specific needs This resource will be working alongside Mike who is a sole developer now. Need someone who will be at the same level to provide full backup Exp: min 3-5 yrs of exp in web app development, ASP.Net/VB.Net – using Visual Studio but an express free version, currently using MS Access 2007 Top 3 for shortlisting: ASP.net, VB.Net, SQL backend exp, and VBA are the absolute must (will be pushing for VB as this is their primary role), data mining exp is bonus (Monarch). Must be familiar with data mining itself, not necessarily with Monarch, just be able to pull data from different places Fairfax, VA, must be on site daily Duration: min 3 months, but working to get it extended till next year, based on work load increase Interview: phone screen, then possible F2F, might hire off the phone screen *Requirements include: * Required with a minimum of three to five years of website content management experience, experience in writing, editing for web audiences, Database design and programing. Previous web content management is required and corporate communications or other related experience is a plus. Must be proficient in with web development software and coding, specifically Dreamweaver, Adobe Professional, HTML, CSS, VB.net, ASP.net, and SQL. Understands core web site functionality and UI to help lead recommendations for new website pages and updates to navigation based on server logs, web analytics, business needs and site user needs. Must have the ability to work independently to manage multiple projects while keeping content owners informed of the progress of their general web edits and aware of any potential problems. Knowledge of PCs, networks and the Internet Experience with managing digital media, including web-based video, audio files is a plus. Familiarity with content management systems (Macromedia Contribute, SharePoint, Team Site, Documentum, etc.) is required. Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Access and Excel. The ability to communicate challenges in a non-technical manner to internal content/business owners is important.
