Re: [vbox-dev] Announce: VirtualBox 2.1.0 released!
Hi, Can you point out what svn revision # is this release roughly based on? I'd like to check out the code from svn. (as you mentioned before, I know the source code is provided as tar ball from the download.) [vbox-dev] DirectX support?
Hi, Could anybody inform us users the current progress of supporting DirectX in VirtualBox? If I am not wrong, VirtualBox has a great chance to be the 1st VM solution that supports DirectX? Re: [vbox-dev] DirectX support?
Hi,VMware Workstation 6.5.0(and .1) arleady support DirectX 9 (and supported (almost unusable) DirectX 8 starting from 4.5) Parallels Workstation 3.0 on Mac also supports DirectX 9 btw, Parallels in fact supports OpenGL AND used Wine's D3D-to-OpenGL translator to support DirectX, may be such thing could be done here too?Or even their patch (provided to wine project) be used directly? Question is OpenGL support in VirtualBox mature ENOUGH(i.e. OpenGL 2.0, GLSL,etc) for this? 2008/12/18 Jun Koi junkoi2...@gmail.com Hi, Could anybody inform us users the current progress of supporting DirectX in VirtualBox? [vbox-dev] Linux Compiz fails on 2.1.0 ?
Hi, I tried to enable Compiz on Ubuntu 8.10, but only got the message like Effects could not be enabled. Is that expected, given that I already enabled 3D acceleration? Anybody experienced the same problem?? (I can confirm that I already installed Guest additions for Linux, and vboxvideo driver is already loaded by X.org.) Another question: From inside the Linux guest, how can I verify that 3D acceleration is already enable? Re: [vbox-dev] Linux Compiz fails on 2.1.0 ?
I forget to say that I run 2.1.0 on Linux host (Ubuntu 8.10), and tried to enable Compiz in Linux guest (also Ubuntu 8.10), but failed as described below. Besides, Compiz in the host works well.
