can anyone provide a pam config file for authentication of host users in a

This should really enter the manual btw, as it is pretty much a standard
  config...

Just double-checked this on Debian Lenny, and it worked out of the box
without setting VRDP_AUTH_PAM_SERVICE, i.e. using the PAM config for
login. So if you have trouble creating a PAM config try the one for
 login as a starting point.

Sorry, I am on openSuSE 11.1 host testing with rdesktop from SuSE 10.3.
Can you at least provide some hints how you start rdesktop and what Lennys'
login PAM config looks like ... ?

Thanks

[vbox-users] VM permanently grabbing the keyboard

2009-05-19 Thread Sid Boyce
Possibly a kernel bug as it never happened until some time in 2.6.30-git.
When a VM is running, the keyboard is locked out to the rest of the
system. After shutting down the VM, it returns to normal.
Regards
Sid.

[vbox-users] Very poor performance on internal network, 2.2.2

2009-05-19 Thread James Mansion

I'm trying to PXE boot across an internal network. I load gPXE and all
goes well until it starts trying to load bzImage and initrd files from an
HTTP server.

The server is (X)ubuntu 9.04, running lighttpd or apache2 (same behaviour
with both).

Sometimes - very infrequently - I get high performance. Other times
I see an average of 14 or so 1518-byte packets arriving in the gPXE
VM per second. Turning on diagnostics in gPXE does not show any
error indication, its just very slow.

Has anyone else observed this?

James
