[vchkpw] stable version to work with quota?

2010-06-24 Thread d tbsky
hi:
I was using vpopmail 5.4.17 with cdb module and courier-imap 3.0.x
for several years. I never notice any problem about quota before. I
upgrade my linux os and update vpopmail to 5.4.30 and switch to
dovecot several weeks ago. then many people complain that
their usage quota information is not correct.I write a script to check
the quota and find that "vuserinfo" did show wrong quota information.

I also tried to use "vusaged" in 5.4.30. it is very accurate. but it
didn't update the "maildirsize" file. and "vdelivermail" may report
"user_over_quota" although nobody is over quota. so "vusaged" is not
useable for me, although I like the accuracy of it.

so I want to know what is the last stable vpopmail version of
old-style quota? I tried 5.4.28, but it is not accurate.

thanks a lot for your help!!

The maildirsize file is the whole problem with the quota calculation.
It often gets out of sync between processes, and slowly becomes very
incorrect. Deleting this file should return the quota calculation to
normal for a period of time.

Can you reproduce vdelivermail reporting that a user is over quota
when they are not, with the vusage daemon?

If so, what are the steps?

5.4.28 and 5.4.30 have the same quota code.

2010-06-24 Thread Jerkovic Bosko
Hello,

Im having some issues, i recently reinstalled qmail and now, im able to send
mail, but all mail received goes to /home/user/Maildir instead of vpopmail
delivery. Can anyone suggest what files needs to be modified to get delivery
back to the vpopmail instad of home directories ? Thanks.

I believe that's handled by the files in the /var/qmail/users/
directory, but I'm not sure that's everything that's required.

Are you aware of the http://qmailtoaster.com/ packages? They make things
like this a lot easier to deal with, as everything is all preconfigured.

[vchkpw] An updated version of Qmailrocks for Debian

2010-06-24 Thread Thibault Richard
Hello,

I recently had to build a new server in a method "like qmailrocks did a few
years ago"

As I 've spend some time to solve some issues, I've decided to share my
experience with the other people.

If you are interrested, I've posted an updated version of QmailRocks guide for
Debian on http://qmailrocks.thibs.com

It's fully functionnal (I plan to improve it but this version have at least the
same functionalities as the original)

Thibault
