Re: [vchkpw] delivering a mail to every account

Dear Alexander,

I think you should try the vpopbull command.
Let me know if that helps.

Best regards,

[vchkpw] 451 mail server temporarily rejected message (#4.3.0)

2004-12-08 Thread Agustín Ciciliani
Hi,

First of all I apologise for posting a question that has been already
discussed, but I
can't find any clues there to solve the problem.
As I could see it is a permissions issue...???
http://www.mail-archive.com/vchkpw@inter7.com/msg19534.html
http://www.mail-archive.com/vchkpw@inter7.com/msg19681.html

I've installed simscan following step by step the README in
http://www.inter7.com/simscan/README

Everything looks to be alright, but when anybody tries to send an e-mail to my
box it
anwers:
451 mail server temporarily rejected message (#4.3.0). As an example:

mail from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
250 ok
rcpt to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
250 ok
data
354 go ahead
test
.
451 mail server temporarily rejected message (#4.3.0)

If I erase the ,QMAILQUEUE=/var/qmail/bin/simscan in my tcp.smtp everything
works fine
(just to discard a qmail problem).

I'll appreciate any comment. Thanks in advance. Sincerely,

Agustín

Re: [vchkpw] svc: warning: unable to control vpopmail: file does not exist vpopmail (dt)

2004-10-26 Thread Agustín Ciciliani
Dear Jeremy,

Thank you for your time and your professionalism (at least you didn't wrote me RTFM),
but
let me explain my message.
I've already read Life with qmail and the vpopmail INSTALL file. I've also read the
vpopmail faqs, especially the questions related to debian. In fact I have a test server
running both after following those documents!

What I was wondering is if there exists a way to install qmail and vpopmail using the
debian's package management system. I've been serching in the web and all the howtos
that
I found doesn´t look reliable.
So I tried something and I reached that error message.

If you say that It's not possible (or no recommendable at all) installing them with the
debian packages I'll follow the traditional way.

Thanks again and I really hope not to bother you.

Sincerely,

Agustín

vpopmail is not a standalone daemon. Please read the INSTALL file for
vpopmail.

If you installed qmail through debian's package management system, you should
remove it, and simply follow www.lifewithqmail.org to get started. Once you
have your qmail system up and working you can then go about adding vpopmail
and related tools (which is really easy, if you just read)
