Hi, Yup they all have .qmail files. Qmail-inject has been recompiled a fair few times and has never fixed this issue even with completely new sources from Inter 7 themselves, unless you are talking a different type of fix? [vchkpw] Qmail errors
Hi, I can see in my qmail send log - @4000474479971c31105c delivery 79455: deferral: qmail-inject:_fatal:_unable_to_parse_this_line:/To: XX "Car/write_to_qmail-inject_failed:_32/system_error_calling_qmail-inject/ Now what seems strange is the email has already been accepted by one qmail server and passed on to this one thats throwing up the above error. Other emails seem to be going through ok. I read somewhere a post from last year by Jeremy that VPOPMails vdelivermail should be calling qmail-queue and not qmail-inject. The emails for users stuck in the queue throwing up that error all have forwards on to outside domains. Any pointers? RE: [vchkpw] Vpopmail 5.4.25 POP3 collection fail
Hi, I can now see in the log - vpopmail[16576]: vchkpw-pop3: invalid user/domain characters but it seems to pick on random users. One minute this will be logged then the user can authenticate ok. Any ideas as to what causes/creates this message? Many thanks Matt From: Matthew Moore [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 12 November 2007 18:25 To: vchkpw@inter7.com Subject: [vchkpw] Vpopmail 5.4.25 POP3 collection fail Hi, I upgraded to 5.4.25 from 5.5.1 and today I have had reports of intermittent POP3 collection. Users will get prompted for their username and password and the next minute the request goes through ok. There are around a max peak of 28 to 30 concurrent collections out of a possible 90 so thats not the issue. I did notice out of memory error messages in the message log so I increased tcpservers limit for pop3d from 6MB to 9MB and the out of memory errors have gone yet the issue still exists. Ive had a look through the POP3 log and mailog but cannot see any errors. Vpopmail is compiled with MySQL support where the users are held in a database. Is there any other logs I can check for potential problems? Prior to this 5.5.1 had been running for 2 to 3 years with no problems of POP3 collection from customers. I cant really roll back because there was an issue with vchkpw in 5.5.1 L Any ideas gratefully received before the rest of my hair falls out. [vchkpw] Courier IMAP and IMAP account settings in VPOPMAIL
Hi, Recently I upgraded Courier IMAP to version 4.0.6 and authlib 0.57. Some users have a restriction on their IMAP settings set through Vpopmail that stops them checking their email via IMAP. Normally an account is setup in Vpopmail and the whole domain has IMAP switched off and then enabled for certain users under that domain. This all worked well up until the upgrade and now it would seem that Courier is ignoring the users settings and just using the domain settings. For example this user is allowed to check via IMAP and the domain wide settings don’t have permission to check via IMAP – * OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 UIDPLUS CHILDREN NAMESPACE THREAD=ORDEREDSUBJECT THREAD=REFERENCES SORT QUOTA IDLE ACL ACL2=UNION] Courier-IMAP ready. Copyright 1998-2005 Double Precision, Inc. See COPYING for distribution information. use use NO Error in IMAP command received by server. a001 login [EMAIL PROTECTED] a001 OK LOGIN Ok. * BYE IMAP access disabled for this account. Connection closed by foreign host. Any ideas why it now ignores individual account settings? The version of Vpopmail is 5.5.1. Many thanks Matthew
