Why the page at Inter7 is so old?

Aren't they involved any more?

[vchkpw] vmoduser not working

2004-02-09 Thread Teixeira (listas)
I'm using vpopmail-5.2.1 with MySQL. 'vmoduser' seems not to work.

vmoduser -u -d -p -w -i -b -r [EMAIL PROTECTED]

After issuing the command, the user still can get POP access and
messages sent don't bounce.

'qmail-pop3d' is the POP server.

What's wrong?

[vchkpw] autocreate and autodelete?

2004-01-20 Thread Teixeira (listas)
I saw vpopmail 5.4.0 has fixed an autocreate feature.

I didn't even know it was possible.

The question is. I understand that the autocreation creates the user
directory if it encounters a record in the auth db. But what can I do if
I want to delete a user and it's dir without having to run vdeluser?

Why don't you enable qmail-scanner globally?

I put QMAILQUEUE=bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl into
/service/qmail-smtpd/run before smtpd initialization, in a way it's
used by all connections.

If you want some other connection NOT to use the scanner, you would have
to specify it in tcp.smtp

My 2c.

[vchkpw] rblsmtpd / tcp.smtp rules precedence

2004-01-16 Thread Teixeira (listas)
Another message from Chris Hardie did remember me about an old question
I have.

How can I make tcp.smtp rules be processed BEFORE rblsmtpd, when rblsmtp
is called from tcpserver's qmail-smtpd initialization command?

I mean, some times we find one IP blocked by the RBL systems, and want
to allow it pass, without having to deal with the de-listing problems
(specially when the IPs are not ours).

Any help would be nice. TIA.

Hmm, if it's in the run file, isn't it still subject to the rules of

The variable is used by qmail-smtpd to determine how it will queue the

[vchkpw] Managing vpopmail from remote server

2003-12-30 Thread Teixeira (listas)
Is there a tool or magic way to manage vpopmail info from a remote
server?

I my case we are currently using vpopmail+mysql+vqadmin, and have a tool
written in PHP to manage the user information running on another server.

How can I make this tool communicate to the remote vpopmail server and
manage the existent users and domains?

Thanks a lot. Happy new year.
