Hi Remo, Below are the permissions on qmailadmin. Is there anything else I should check? [vchkpw] qmailadmin issue
Hi all, Hopefully this is the right place for this issue. If not please let me know. I've built a new mail server on Ubuntu with qmail, vopopmail, dovecot, clamav, qmailadmin etc. Everything is working well with one exception. When I set a vacation message with qmailadmin it stops that users mail completely, no vacation message, or bounce back just stopped. I've checked the qmailadmin install and the autoresponder install as well as the log files. At this point I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated. [vchkpw] Dovecot
Sorry if this post appears twice, Sent the first one from my blackberry not sure if it went through. A Hey Everyone, I'm in the process of building out new mail servers. Currently we are running qmail, courier-imap, vpopmail on Ubuntu. Since courier-imap no longer supports vpopmail, we are switching to Dovecot. The problem I have been having is getting dovecot to run. I've tried several different dovecot.conf files that people have posted and still can't get it to run. Does anyone have a dovecot.conf file that works. I'd greatly appreciate any help. Andrew !DSPAM:487a9a8a32354288314201!
[vchkpw] Outlook 2007
We are running qmail with vpopmail. Several of my clients just upgraded to Outlook 2007. They are having trouble authenticating. They did not have any issues with Outlook 2003. I don't have any specific details yet. Just checking to see if anyone is having this issue. A !DSPAM:4873de1532358637052795!
Re: [vchkpw] smtproute
Thanks Tom. It worked. As soon as I removed yyy.com from virtualdomains mail started going directly to the live yyy.com server. Again thanks everyone for all your help. Re: [vchkpw] smtproute
Just remove yyy.com from the virtual domains file? And add it back if I need to use it? [vchkpw] smtproute
Hello, i have an RHEL-Qmail-Vpopmail-Installation with 2 virtural domains (xxx.com and yyy.com). Domain xxx.com is in daily use. yyy.com is only there for fallback if the real yyy.com mailserver dies. My problem is that if a user from xxx.com sends a mail to a user at yyy.com it gets delievered locally, it never goes out to the real yyy.com mailserver. I tried to set smtproutes but discovered that it won't work because local-delivery happens before smtproutes is used. How can I send mails to the REAL yyy.com-Mailserver. Is there a way to "disable" the yyy.com-Domain temporarily, or a .qmail-trick I haven't found so far? Thanks in advance Andrew

[vchkpw] domain migration
Have vpopmail running and its working very well. :) One of my clients has xxx.com for their domain. The just changed their company name and need to change to a new email domain yyy.com. What is the easiest way to migrate to the new yyy.com domain. Should I just create the new domain and copy the contents of the old one to it, or will this lead to problems. ANy help would be appreciated. Andrew

I have installed vpopmail on SUSE. Everything is working except the smtp after pop. I have reinstalled changed permissions etc. I'm at a loss of wht to do next. Below is my /home/vpopmail/etc/ directory. I noticed that open-smtp and tcp.smtp.cdb have users as a group. I have tried to change this and it hasn't worked. Help. Please.
