[vdr] vdr + epgsearch = no timers

2011-05-03 Thread VDR

Hi!
I have strange problem. After installing (again) whole vdr system from
scratch, epgsearch plugin don't add any timers anymore.
At vdradmin-am I can see all those EPG Search's and if I execute one
of those, it' find what it should find. But even I click Force Update
nothing comes to Timers.
Yes, I have set at settings Re-create timers after delete and I have
done reinstallation with apt-get purge vdr-plugin-epgsearch (that
removes all config files).

i have similar issues with the live frontend. i can't say if always but
surely certain timers won't be even searched (log review). The solution
i have found is that after a restart of the vdr instance the timers will
be searched, found and activated correctly.

Do you have a file called epgsearch.conf inside the folder
/etc/vdr/plugins/epgsearch or /var/lib/vdr/plugins/epgsearch. If not
create one with touch epgsearch.conf and set the correct permission
chown vdr:vdr epgsearch.conf. Chech also if you have a file called
epgsearchdone.data. I use the epgsearch git version from
http://projects.vdr-developer.org/git/?p=vdr-plugin-epgsearch.git;a=summary

Like this:
[archvdr@mythpc epgsearch]$ ls -l /etc/vdr/plugins/epgsearch/
total 28
-rwxr-xr-x 1 vdr vdr 2069 Apr 26 11:40 epgsearchcats.conf
-rwxr-xr-x 1 vdr vdr 987 Apr 26 11:40 epgsearchcmds.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 vdr vdr 2522 May 1 19:52 epgsearch.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 vdr vdr 2302 Apr 26 11:40 epgsearchconflmail.templ
-rw-r--r-- 1 vdr vdr0 May 1 19:43 epgsearchdone.data
-rwxr-xr-x 1 vdr vdr 1568 Apr 26 11:40 epgsearchmenu.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 vdr vdr 4236 Apr 26 11:40 epgsearchupdmail.templ
[archvdr@mythpc epgsearch]$

Epgsearch.conf stores all the timer information from vdradmin or
vdr-live before its written to vdr own /var/lib/vdr/timers.conf or
/etc/vdr/timers.conf

Re: [vdr] vdr + epgsearch = no timers

2011-05-03 Thread VDR

Hi!
Yes I have.. And I managed to fix that problem.. Error mixing yavdr and
ubuntu?!?
From somewhere (I don't know where) /etc/init.d/vdr script sat
--port=2001 (even SVDRP_PORT was not set anywhere) but still at
/etc/vdr/setup.conf epgsearch.SVDRPPort = 6419

So, everything looked good, except timers could not be added by
epgsearch plugin... :-)
I found that after I managed to put epgsearch-plugin to verbose level 3
and point logfile to /tmp -directory...

Thank you everyone who tried to help me solve this! :-)
