For the benefit of the archive...

I opened a case and the problem was I didn't have the BMR database created. I
had to run the wizard so it can create the BMR db. After that, NBU Console
opened right away.

By registering the "Enterprise Client" license key, and thus enabling all the
BMR functionality, the NBU-Console performs some dditionalal checks during
startup and was timing-out on some BMR' related errors.

Jorge

Re: [Veritas-bu] SAN Disk space extend issue

2010-11-26 Thread David Stanaway
I just had the very same issue not related to NBU AFAIK. Client OS W2K8.

Instead of rescanning from disk mgmt and seeing the extra space there,
then launching diskpart to extend like I normally do, I ran rescan
command inside diskpart and did extend. Volume shows as taking up all
the space in diskmgmt, but my computer didn't show the space. In the end
I added an extra GB disk space and did what I normally do and the volume
showed the expected size in my computer afterwards. Wierd. Not sure what
happened. It was a test VM system so I didn't worry too much about t.
