[Veritas-bu] Error while transfering clients in Netbackup Pro 3.51.30
We are attempting to transfer clients from our old server running 3.51.30 on win2k to our new server running 3.51.30 on win2k3, both servers are on a domain on the same subnet. We can transfer clients on the same subnet successfully, the client has the little yellow arrow signifying it has been transfered. When we try to transfer a client on a different subnet from the old server to the new server the transfer fails giving the following message: Transfer failed. Server returned e0049006. When we look at the client list for the new server it does show up, the registry on the client has the new server name but the old server IP address, on the old server the client does not have the little yellow arrow signifying it has been transfered. Authentication on the server is set to NT Authentication and we allow any Netbackup Professional to control the clients. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Does anyone have any ideas how to get the clients to transfer? [Veritas-bu] Client software not responding error.
I am configuring a new backup server running Netbackup Pro 3.51.30 running on Windows 2003 Server R2. The Netbackup software is setup and the client install package has been created. I have installed the Netbackup client onto the client machine running Windows 2000. I can run an initial backup from either the client or from the backup server console. I added and deleted a few files then attempted to run a new backup from the console. The backup failed with a Client Software not responding error message. I have the Authentication Mode set for Trusted Environment, excluded the Cache file from the anti-virus scan and can ping the server and client from each other. [Veritas-bu] Netbackup Pro 3.51.30.0 Transfer Client
We are using Netbackup Pro v3.51.30 to backup various workstations. We are installing a new server and are attempting to transfer some clients for testing. I right click on the client and use the Transfer Client wizard. It registers the client in the new server but gives the following message Transfer failed. Server returned c0045020.
