Client properties>make sure the media server is listed. Also, if you
use hosts files, make sure the server's has the client and vice versa.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Error 59 using admin console for restores.
Situation: Running NBU5.1 mp6 under Solaris10. Using Adminconsole on
windows workstation to do restores.
I keep getting these type error 59's. I can do restores of clients to
original file locations with success. If I try to restore
any file to same server or different server and to a different location,
I get the "cannot put rename file on ".
It complains about bpcd exiting from workstation where admin console is
running from etc.. Either way, if it is a successful (original location)
restore or not it still complains with error 59.
example of alternate location restore:
8/22/2007 3:37:26 PM - begin Restore
8/22/2007 3:37:27 PM - restoring image jsnbumedia_1187205790
8/22/2007 3:37:29 PM - Error bpbrm(pid=15020) bpcd on as400rpt exited
with status 59: access to the client was not allowed
8/22/2007 3:37:29 PM - Error bpbrm(pid=15020) cannot put rename file on
jsnbumedia
8/22/2007 3:37:30 PM - Error bpbrm(pid=15020) client restore EXIT STATUS
59: access to the client was not allowed
All servers can ping each other. I have all servers static in hosts. All
servers referenced in bp.conf etc..
Anyone have any ideas? I'm running out..:o(~
