Hi Kevin

I don't know OpenVMS, but on UNIX/Windows this can be accomplished by
bpstart_notify/bpend_notify scripts

[Veritas-bu] NetBackup and calling OpenVMS command procedure

Title: NetBackup and calling OpenVMS command procedure

Hi there,

We are currently running NetBackup V5.0MP3 and have an OpenVMS
client running an Oracle database instance.  Just wondering
if anyone has any experience relative to NetBackup calling an OpenVMS procedure
to shutdown the database prior to the backup and restart it once the backup
completes???

TIA.

Kevin C
