The image files for 22 March will be between 1237672800 (Sun Mar 22 00:00:00 2009) and 1237759200 (Mon Mar 23 00:00:00 2009). Your links don't work for me. You are looking for a specific day correct? Does the image for the backup before and/or the backup after that day show up in the BMR? If you go to your /netbackup/db/images//. Can you find any backups for that date down in the numbered directories ( dirs called something like 122600)? Ok lets verify. 1) in the activity monitor - you know that you have at least 1 job that completed ok, and shows that it as >0 kb backed up on that job. ( and this is NOT a catalog backup that you are looking for but a normal server or database backup) 2)this job that you know completed ok - what policy is it in - now check that policy - what is the Policy Type? 3) when you open the BAR - you go to File/Specify Netbackup machines 4) in the Specify window - the SERVER to use for backups and restores is your MASTER - do not use any server but the MASTER 5) in the filed for Source you have your client server name - this name must exactly match the job that you saw in step 1. In the Restore screen, are you sure you have the proper image type selected, i.e. Windows vs. Standard? Do you have the exact same name as it is listed in the policy backing up the client? Typical reasons: The policy type (e.g. FlashBackups vs Windows-NT vs Standard) needs to match. Client host names are case sensitive. If you back it up with a mixed case name, the restore must be done the same way.
