On the plus side, anything you can do in netbackup can be done from the command line. The only thing I ever really use the GUI for is the activity monitor and some policy work - NEVER for device administration. And being a *nix guy, I hate to say it, but run the java GUI from a windows machine. Netbackup's unix GUI (X or java) has been slow as long as I've been using it.since NB 3.41 or something like that. Modify them UP based on the system's configuration.
