Hi, I did the following test with success I tested on a basic environment backing up the /var sleleton ans backing up completely /var/log subfolder bash-2.03# cat exclude_list.test-s240rbk1_2 /var/*/* bash-2.03# cat include_list.test-s240rbk1_2 /var/log/* The number of asterix is important. I admit that's an interesting goal :) I really have no idea how you could do that unless you specify ALL available directories while excluding their contents... and that will be a huge & ridiculous task as everytime a new directory is created you'll have to update the exclude_list. Yes, For example, I want to backup a UNIX client by putting "/" in the Backup selection of the test policy. Then, I want to be able to backup the folders skeleton ( all folders and subfolders ) but without backing up their respective contents except one specific subfolder /local/DATA/FTS/*/.Admin where I want to backup all its contents.
