Re: Versions 1.0.6 coming
Just FYI, the problem hasn't affected me on any of my computers... 2 PowerPC (10.4 and 10.5) and I Intel (10.5). Re: Progress bar during check-in
+1 for this. I don't know what degree of feedback the SVN libraries provide during commits (for example, it may or may not provide progress of a file upload) but knowing how many files out of the total commit have already "made it" would be helpful. If it's possible to see progress "within" a file, that would be nice. FWIW, I'm not so sure about the double progress bar, though... I would think a text indicator ("3 of 5 file" and/or "60%") combined with a single progress bar that reflects bytes transmitted vs. total would be more helpful and "Mac-like". But then, I have a pretty good level of trust that the Versions team is committed to doing it right. ;-) - Quinn On Sep 14, 2009, at 12:51 PM, denisa wrote: It would be nice if the "Committing Working Copy" dialog displayed a progress bar with overall progress, as well as progress of the file currently being uploaded/checked-in. Out of curiosity, what was the root cause of this bug? --Nicholas On Sep 13, 7:16 am, Dirk Stoop wrote: > Hi all, > > We've tracked down the cause of the following issue that some of you > are running into with Versions 1.0.5: > > - Really high CPU usage in one or more background processes, also > named Versions. > > We will release Versions 1.0.6 soon to take care of this problem. > > Because this issue was our highest priority, was pretty hard to track > down, and we want to get the fix in everyone's hands asap, this one > fix will be the only difference between 1.0.6 and 1.0.5. > > Cheers, > - Dirk > > the Versions team --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Versions" group.
