Not exactly a recent thread, but here's a datapoint for you

I'm getting the same message about FileMerge, and my opendiff is
located here:

/Users/username/Documents/Development/Developer/usr/bin/opendiff

I can only assume that at some point I installed the Dev tools in my
Documents folder.  Not sure why I would do that, but I'm sure it made
sense in my brain when I did it.
