I lost everything on upgrade

2011-02-28 Thread Toby
I upgraded to the most recent Versions (1.1.5) and lost all of my
repositories.

A number of files were sent to the trash on upgrade:

- com.madebysofa.Versions.plist
- Versions (Folder)
--- Bookmarks.plist
--- License
--- Compare Scripts (Folder)

I assume that these files and folders are what is causing the problem,
but I don't know how to put them back.

Do you know how to fix this?

Thanks!
Toby

Re: Option to not connect to remote repos at launch

2009-03-06 Thread Toby S

from this thread:
http://groups.google.com/group/versions/browse_thread/thread/7d0882d2543090ca/65f46120698bcf17?lnk=gst&q=crash#65f46120698bcf17

Versions tries to check the number of changes both locally and
remotely soon after having started in order to be able to display
those counts in the bookmarks source list next to each working copy
bookmark. This is what is probably causing Versions to crash for
you,
as it is trying to connect to the problematic repository shortly
after
you start the app.
We should allow users to hold a modifier key down to make Versions
disable the counting of changes as it starts up. When problems like
yours occur, Versions won't be able to start up without crashing,
so
we should add kind of a "safe boot" mode for Versions, just like
the
mac has when you boot with the shift key down.
For now you can enter this command in a terminal window:
$ defaults write com.picodev.Versions CountNrOfChanges -bool NO

Re: crashes after start up (every time)

2009-03-06 Thread Toby S

Versions was crashing regularly, (every 10 minutes?) but disabling the
changecount indicators also worked for me.
I do miss them though :(
I'm sure it's just one repository connection that is giving me
problems, but I can't think of a way to find out which one could be
causing the trouble. any ideas how to identify the culprit?
