Re: quick compare like cornerstone?

+1 for using TextWrangler. Having an external diff tool means I can
run it from within Xcode whilst I'm writing or Versions whilst I'm
preparing to check-in, and get the same view working in the same way.

TextWrangler is free, very fast and has great diff capability

Keep it running and setup as your external diff tool and it's actually
better than having it in the same app because you get more screen
space for the diffs.  I hardly notice the process swap - the diff
windows just open.  Close the diff window and it closes all three
windows and one cmd-tab and I'm back in versions.

I think providing merge support is a much higher priority than
integrated diff since there are numerous diff tools (most that are
more usable than FileMerge which I've never really fathomed) and merge
 is command line only otherwise.

  +1.
I have contacted Versions dev team regarding this functionality during
beta period, I think may be 6-7 months ago. A long time ago. Was told
that this issue will be looked into, and here we are at 1.0, no
feature and actually betas were way better..
Though fixes can never come too soon (1.0.2 is UNusable for me), some
must-have features also can't come too soon as well...

Definite +20. This should be one of the main features in a future
release. Loading FileMerge on every single diff file gets **VERY**
   annoying.

As they say, +1 to that.

The comparison feature inCornerstoneis also why I'm seriously
hedging on purchasing Versions. As a PHP developer, being able to see
the code changes, inside my Subversion client is a very nice feature.
