This was Frog Hair & was probably several years old, I don’t use 3x very often. 
I’ve use 2x quite a bit in similar circumstances, guess I’ve learned a lesson:)

You'd think so. Maybe nicks in the tippet or knots. Usually I'm using 10 lb 
mono when bass fishing. This article says that mono has a higher breaking

Sounds like a big old catfish.

Get some heavy tippet on and go back and catch that dood so we know what it 
was.

So, yesterday I took an hour & went to the pond for an hour. First time I've
