  Hello you All

Wouldn't it be Jimmy (Mud Hole Lunkers) or some such to dredge me out of the
reeds?
I'm not gonna tell anyone about lurking, skulking, poaching or the like, but
I've got my fair share of the value of you old bunch of smelly waders.

Jimmy, who has defended me against the worst of them.
Don, telling me about dental floss and them big ass flies.
Tony, and all his words of wisdom (still haven't built it.) your chili
Pepper caught my youngest, Emma a real corker, it did!
Don (again) your ode to Emma will never release me. Do YOU remember that one?

Pete Gramp ??? I feel you buddy.

Apologies to anyone I may not have mentioned, tis not intentional, I swear.
Remind me and you are in my heart still. Oh, I'll mention you too. tee hee.

I am happy to still be a member, although not a "dues dunner" (who was that?)
so nail me to the wall Byard always treated me well. and still get your
chat every day. Damn, its good to be reminded of happier days. When a trip to
Lesotho was the highlight of the year! No Jimmy not for Bucket mouths!

I lament at the state of the VFB, and no thanks to me for not contributing,
my head hangs in shame. Excuses are the apologies for those not worthy of
mention.

  HOWEVER

I salute you, the stalwarts of the fraternity. YOU have kept the course, the

Thanks DonO: We have indeed lost members. I just checked and as of today,
we have 200 members, a far cry from our high water mark of 600 +.
Right now we're averaging 775 posts per month, which comes in at 29 VFB
posts per day. 775 sounded like a lot, but the 29 ain't much. With 200
members, we should have lots more activity and we can if our members will
remember what the VFB was designed for - learning from each other and passing
on tips on fly fishing / tying. Maybe some of us, not me and DonO, are too
bashful to pose a question or pose a comment. However, we all need to remember
that "THERE'S NO DUMB QUESTION WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER." So, lets get
cracking and ask those questions and pass along our fly fishing and fly tying
tips. I do the Daily Quote and that generates a few comments, but maybe I
should pull in a few instructional quotes too. Don't worry about someone on
the list jumping you for a comment you've made. If they do, it's usually done
in fun. An example would be me chastising DonO for being so long-winded. Give
him a word, just one little word, and he can write a 5 page epistle on it.
Banter is good, to a point and gives us a chance to poke fun at one another.
One thing for sure, as VFB Moderator, I ain't gonna jump on anybody, at least
not on List, so let's saddle up and get the list Moving again.

Nick, how far you have come, my friend, a true doien to the cult, what issit,
three now?? Ankle biters, I mean hahahaaha, to Theresa my regards.
Kieth, never made that second trip to Germany, but you knew or expected that,
didn't you?
Ruven.. you still here, not seen you in a bit.
Pete Gramp ??? I feel you buddy.

Apologies to anyone I may not have mentioned, tis not intentional, I
swear. Remind me and you are in my heart still. Oh, I'll mention you too. tee
hee.

I lament at the state of the VFB, and no thanks to me for not contributing, my
head hangs in shame. Excuses are the apologies for those not worthy of mention.

HOWEVER

I salute you, the stalwarts of the fraternity. YOU have kept the course, the

Thanks DonO:  We have indeed lost members.  I just checked and as of today, we
have 200 members, a far cry from our high water mark of 600 +.

Right now we're averaging 775 posts per month, which comes in at 29 VFB posts
per day.  775 sounded like a lot, but the 29 ain't much.  With 200 members, we
should have lots more activity and we can if our members will remember what the
VFB was designed for - learning from each other and passing on tips on fly
fishing / tying.  Maybe some of us, not me and DonO, are too bashful to pose a
question or pose a comment. However, we all need to remember that "THERE'S NO
DUMB QUESTION WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER."  So, lets get cracking and ask
those questions and pass along our fly fishing and fly tying tips.  I do the
Daily Quote and that generates a few comments, but maybe I should pull in a few
instructional quotes too.  Don't worry about someone on the list jumping you
for a comment you'

I have a question regarding VFB membership. Since Byard has basically let
go of the VFB, but is still keeping it set up on a server, are we still
holding to a dues system? If we are, where do we send it and how will it be
used?

But nobody (OK, I'm a little humble) is perfect. With his ode to Emma, he

Sorry Don, it was 5 1/2 years ago and some months of gestation.
You composed the most beautifull ode to an expected daughter.

And its been lost in my maelstrom of electronic records. (I know I have a

But, more to my point, we do things out of kindness, and forget them, but

So I measure the worth of my friends.

With 200
members, we should have lots more activity and we can if our members will
remember what the VFB was designed for - learning from each other and
passing on tips on fly fishing / tying. Maybe some of us, not me and DonO,
are too bashful to pose a question or pose a comment. However, we all need
to remember that "THERE'S NO DUMB QUESTION WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER."
So, lets get cracking and ask those questions and pass along our fly fishing
and fly tying tips. I do the Daily Quote and that generates a few comments,
but maybe I should pull in a few instructional quotes too. Don't worry
about someone on the list jumping you for a comment you've made. If they
do, it's usually done in fun. An example would be me chastising DonO for
being so long-winded. Give him a word, just one little word, and he can
write a 5 page epistle on it. Banter is good, to a point and gives us a

RE: [VFB] 200 VFB members as of today

When I was younger, I was called a “swarthy Lesotho.” Does that count?

Do YOU remember that
one?

Nick, how far you have come, my friend, a true doien to the cult, what
issit, three now?? Ankle biters, I mean hahahaaha, to Theresa my regards.

Kieth, never made that second trip to Germany, but you knew or expected
that, didn't you?

Ruven.. you still here, not seen you in a bit.

Pete Gramp ??? I feel you buddy.

Apologies to anyone I may not have mentioned, tis not intentional, I swear.
Remind me and you are in my heart still. Oh, I'll mention you too. tee hee.

I am happy to still be a member, although not a "dues dunner" (who was
that?) so nail me to the wall Byard always treated me well. and
still get your chat every day. Damn, its good to be reminded of happier
days. When a trip to Lesotho was the highlight of the year! No Jimmy not
for Bucket mouths!

I lament at the state of the VFB, and no thanks to me for not contributing,
my head hangs in shame. Excuses are the apologies for those not worthy of
mention.

HOWEVER

I salute you, the stalwarts of the fraternity. YOU have kept the course, the
passion and the faith. I, for one, am eternally grateful for the
freethinking inspiration you have so graciously poured over us.

Thank you, my distant friends

Thanks DonO: We have indeed lost members. I just checked and as of today,
we have 200 members, a far cry from our high water mark of 600 +.
Right now we're averaging 775 posts per month, which comes in at 29 VFB
posts per day. 775 sounded like a lot, but the 29 ain't much. With 200
members, we should have lots more activity and we can if our members will
remember what the VFB was designed for - learning from each other and
passing on tips on fly fishing / tying.
Banter is good, to a point and gives us a
chance to poke fun at one another. One thing for sure, as VFB Moderator, I
ain't gonna jump on anybody, at least not on List, so let's saddle up and
get the list Moving again.

Thanks DonO: We have indeed lost members. I just checked and as of
today, we have 200 members, a far cry from our high water mark of 600 +.
Right now we're averaging 775 posts per month, which comes in at 29 VFB
posts per day. 775 sounded like a lot, but the 29 ain't much. With 200
members, we should have lots more activity and we can if our members
will remember what the VFB was designed for - learning from each other
and passing on tips on fly fishing / tying. Maybe some of us, not me
and DonO, are too bashful to pose a question or pose a comment. However,
we all need to remember that "THERE'S NO DUMB QUESTION WHEN YOU DON'T
KNOW THE ANSWER." So, lets get cracking and ask those questions and
pass along our fly fishing and fly tying tips. I do the Daily Quote and
that generates a few comments, but maybe I should pull in a few
instructional quotes too. Don't worry about someone on the list jumping
you for a comment you've made. If they do, it's usually done in fun.
An example would be me chastising DonO for being so long-winded. Give
him a word, just one little word, and he can write a 5 page epistle on
it. Banter is good, to a point and gives us a chance to poke fun at one
another. One thing for sure, as VFB Moderator, I ain't gonna jump on

Moving again.
