It would be really a shame, if we loose Byard and his site.
Is there any way to bring it up again? Maybe we find someone who is
willing to host the site.

If Byard is willing, I have lots of webspace I could host the archive on.
There have been a couple sites that have disappeared over the past year or
so that were a great source of information.

Cheers

Re: [VFB] VFB Site

2010-01-08 Thread Don Ordes
Well, we've sorta lost Byard for the meantime anyway as he chases some
dreams and fantasies.

He broke the up-link to his site, but it probably still exists in it's
entirety.
He is on Facebook and if someone were to approach him about attaching his
site 'gratis' and unattached to him directly, he may go for it. Can't speak
at all for him, though- it's just a suggestion. I do know that he just
doesn't have the time to deal with VFB at the moment.

If anyone tries this, please keep us posted.

Don't take too long. Byard bought a bird-man suit and will be jump-gliding
off cliffs and out of planes.

[VFB] VFB site

2010-01-08 Thread Jeff Frye
This is the response I got from Byard regarding the web site:

On to the VFB. Recent happenings included my VFB current internet hosting
service going belly up! Unfortunately, they went down without notice (and
actually are still attempting to bill me) and left me with no access to
my files.

DNS has been transfered to another hosting site. Now
it's just a matter of finding the time / energy / desire / willpower /
etc to dig into my hard drives and find and translate the files and
formats into their respective spots so that they can again be viewed by
the loyal VFBers.

The VFB site will return, we just don't know
when. It's not on a high priority schedule for me.
