[videoblogging] Canon HF10/HF100???
Was at BH looking around and tried the new canon HF10 and HF100, they seemed awesome vlogging cameras, even have a little assist light, mic jack and levels, different sized batteries, etc. Anyone have one? The price is dropping on the HF100, which seems the way to go... http://www.amazon.com/Canon-HF100-Definition-Camcorder-Stabilized/dp/B00114162K/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8s=electronicsqid=1211354559sr=8-1 ~ ~ Caleb J. [videoblogging] Presentation on videoblogging and activism - any links/suggestions
Hey all, I'm doing a presentation this Saturday on 'web video and activism' and am wondering if anyone has any links or suggestions. I've already planned to talk about Ryanishungry, Vision on Tv, Qik/mobile tech, Alive in Baghdad/Swajana, Undercurrents. Any other suggestions for sites/approaches? The presentation is for an unconference called Reclaim the Web that I am organising with my friend Chris. It's 'one day of open conversations and presentations on using social media for activism and social change.' It's on Saturday in Brighton and if you want to come you can sign up here - http://reclaimtheweb.net/ I'll also be trotting out an amended version of the presentation at Open Tech - http://www.ukuug.org/events/opentech2008/schedule/ - this time called 'Telling Social and Environmental Stories Using Online Video'. Suggestions before Saturday would be very helpful, but I would also welcome them before July. Thanks in advance for your help. Beth xxx

I've built one. It works. Not as good as a $500 (or more) unit ..but better than nothing. I'll respectfully disagree and say that using nothing is better. I built one back in 2004 when that page first surfaced online.
