Hi everyone:

Ya think he works for the McCain/Palin campaign? I wouldn't put ANYTHING past
them at THIS point. The Republicans will do ANYTHING to maintain their hold on
what little influential power they have left (Which they have been gradually
losing since the primaries began).

[videoblogging] What to charge for camera and video editing

2008-11-01 Thread Renat Zarbailov
Hello everyone!
What is a fair rate to charge for 2-minute videos like below?
http://vimeo.com/1779640?pg=embed&sec=1779640

A company wants me to be their permanent videographer producing a
video from each gig they perform at. On average it takes me about 3-4
hours of shooting at nightclubs using my Merlin Steadicam. And
editing, which I hate btw... :), takes me at least two full days since
I usually accumulate about and hour of short shots from each event to
later compile the video to a soundtrack.

Any comments are highly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

[videoblogging] Re: Is Chipin any good? try e-junkie, which claims to have handled $4.5 mil in

2008-11-01 Thread liza jean
www.e-junkie.com

when i signed on to e-junkie today to send a free movie to the lady
at the consignment shop who sold me some nice Daredoll boots
yesterday at half price and another free movie to her nephew in
college, this was e-junkie's tiny little new banner:

4,300 merchants, $4.5 million in october sales

only a few thousand of those dollars were ours. for which we gave
them a fixed monthly rent. (6 gigs of storage = $225 monthy bite, no
matter how many downloads are sent)

in which i ask, is selling individual products the same as raising
funds if no advertising or media notice is involved?

[videoblogging] Fwd: [j2000] Need vignettes for election day

2008-11-01 Thread Irina
-- Forwarded message --

Hello all,
The site that I told you a friend of mine was starting is officially up. The
site is www.blackpower.com and it seeks to examine the concept of black
power in the new millenium in an increasingly multi-cultural society and
with the possibility of an African American president becoming a likely
reality.

For election coverage they are looking for diverse voices around the world
to provide sketches on election day. Here's the ad:
*Blackpower.com* is looking for roving reporters around the country (and the
world) who can write 100-300 word vignettes on election day from not only
voting locations, but places where people congregate–cafes, bookstores,
basketball courts, barbershops, hairdressers–and can write first person
essays, essays about conversations they overhear, things they may see, or
any interesting tidbits on election day. The stories will be accepted
throughout election day and will be posted live as they come in. Writers
will be compensated. They will run throughout the week. Please submit your
Election Day story (and an optional photo) to [EMAIL PROTECTED] If
you have questions, please contact us at [EMAIL PROTECTED] You've seen
our stories, now let's hear yours.

Thanks!
Ericka Blount Danois
