This is an issue that has been discussed (and ranted) here many times. Short
of forming a guild - which was under discussion years ago and for which I am
partly responsible for dropping the ball in) I don't see that any of us as
individuals have any real leverage other than to walk.
Sorry to hear of your string of bad news - you are a class act and I know do
your best to support best practices.

Here we are providing content, not getting paid, or being paid very

I know, I know, don't use those sites. But, if those sites are where your
target audience is, then what?
You answered your own question. If you need this hosting site more
than they need you, then they win. What site are you talking about?
One thing to do is organize other creators about this issue. Provide
examples of how the site ignores their own rules.
Another thing is to support the sites that do respect creators.
Do video content providers have rights? Do we have rights if a third
party
uses our material to bring in income? If our material brings them income
are
they obligated to recognize us?
Have you looked at Creativecommons.org? This is a good set of licenses
to use. It allows for people to use your work under certain
circumstances like giving you attribution etc.
I guess if someone is making money off your work that you don't like,
then get a lawyer like the big companies do.
