[videoblogging] 1 feed for Quictime 1 for WMV
Hi, I'm posting two video formats in my videoblog: a Quicktime and a Windows Media. Someone wrote asking me if HE COULD ONLY SUBSCRIBE to the windows media file. (I have no idea if this can be done) Is there a way I can have one separate feed for each video format? Can I do this? Do I have to post twice each time? If there's any one out there who can help me with this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Juan Falla http://viviendoconfallas.blogspot.com Yahoo! THIRD: How about the feed? How can I change that too? Thanks. Juan Falla http://viviendoconfallas.blogsspot.com Yahoo! [videoblogging] Re: Intel Videoblogging Awareness Campaign for Mexico
I found about this last week. I tried to register to it, but ...registration begins on January 15. So I'll have to wait till then. Hopefully the contest will help more people know about videoblogging, which as you said Andrew, the website says its sole purpose is to spread the word. Also, they have posted that now then contest is opened to all spanish-speaking-vlogs and not only Mexican vlogs. Which is good as we aren't as many comapred to the thousans+ english-speaking-vlogs. Juan http://viviendoconfallas.blogspot.com --- In videoblogging@yahoogroups.com, andrew michael baron [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: http://intel.luzcamaraenter.com/ Amanda I were invited to Mexico City last week to help launch a videoblogging contest for the spanish speaking part of the word, on behalf of Intel. Out of everything I have ever been involved with so far, this is probably the biggest, most exciting thing. I was a little nervous at first about the idea of pairing a contest with videoblogging but the main point to to bring awareness to the whole Spanish speaking world about what is going on with this movement we are all involved in. If you live in Mexico, and especially if you do not live in Mexico City, getting a camera and a laptop is not quite as easy for as many people. Even though we call these tools cheap, and have more leisure time to pursue hobbies, etc, its just not the same there so its more difficult to get people on board to start up the process. The winners of the contest will receive equipment like a laptop, a camera and free internet space. The judges include a famous Mexican film maker, famous bloggers and a couple of other very cool industry experts, all who have been fighting to raise awareness and help rise up the mexican community into this space. While we were there, through press conferences, MSM meetings, and radio and newspaper interviews, we did our best to explain the main point that this medium is very accessible and that now is a great time to jump in and make an impact. Pardon my overly idealistic intent, but I can't help but think videoblogging is exactly what people in less privileged regions of the world can use to rise up to more fair and equal ground. I wish I spoke spanish and could do more to help promote it, so if you are interested or find this important, please have a look at http:// intel.luzcamaraenter.com/ and pass on the info to anyone you know who might find an avenue to get the word out. The name, luz, camara, enter means, basically, lights, camera action. Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ~-- AIDS in India: A lurking bomb. [videoblogging] My feed needs to move...
Hi, I'm in an interesting situation right now: the place where I have my vlog is closing down, so I'm in the process of moving all my posts to a new vlog (in blogger). I'm OK with re- publishing my posts (they're only 18), but I have a question regaring my feed: Can I copy/paste the code to my new vlog, and will it stay the same? Or should I get a new feed? Right now my feed is: http://feeds.feedburner.com/LivingWithFallas My vlog: http://livingwithfallas.myblogsite.com Obviously my main concern is the people who are subscribed to it. As I wouldn't want them to have to subscribe again. I don't know if this is possible or if it's better to just create a new one and let everyone know about it. (?) Any one out there has any idea? (My brother who is a computer geek obviously has quicktime, but a normal person who just buys a PC and never installs anything, he doesn't have it). So, for example my wife's mother: she doesn't have a computer at home, so she has to go to an Internet Cafe to see the videos. I was on the phone telling her how to get to my vlog and see the videos, and she couldn't see them! The computer doesn't have quicktime installed, I even spoke with the person in charge of that place and told him to install it, but he told me that he wasn't allowed to isntall any softwares... Huh??? Anyway, I finally had to start posting the videos in windows media, this way she can see them with out problems. So it all depends in what people are going to see your videos. Obviously if you post in .wmv too the risk of people encountering problems is minimum, so more people will be able to watch them Juan http://livingwithfallas.myblogsite.com Yahoo!
