I took Joseph Whyte's list (President HybridSEM.com) and added our
company's list of sites to it. I sent the list over to Joseph where
I'm hoping he will put these into categories, so you may want to check
out his site next month if you want get these in categories.

[videoblogging] Fit to broadcast

of fit to broadcast - what's your opinion?

[videoblogging] Stats, blip.tv, and self hosted wordpress

2007-11-12 Thread kfirpravda
Hello all,

I am working on the final details of my new blog and video show. It is
crucial for me to get accurate usage stats. I've built the site the
following way:
1. my videos are hosted on blip.tv
2. I use a self hosted wordpress as a part of showinabox installation.
3. I will have in the near future an audio podcast as well
4. Each video episode is linked to textual blog posts hosted on the
same wordpress blog.
5. I will have a combined RSS feed via feedburner

What is the best way to gather stats of the afferent info sources?

thanks!
K

[videoblogging] Titles in Avid with Avid Marquee

2007-10-06 Thread kfirpravda
Hello all,

I have an issue with titles in my video. I am using Avid for editing,
and its extended title tool (Avid Marquee). I use a cool typewriter
font, black on white, or white on black. I have issues with the way
the titles look like - it is not crisp enough, a bit blurred, and
doesn't look the best way possible.
Does anyone in the group use these tools? does anyone have an advice
on how to improve the look of the titles?
Thanks a lot!

I bought this mic a couple of weeks ago. It is an amazing piece of

I've been using the Rode Video Mic on my Canon HV20 for a few weeks
now and I really like it. Yesterday it dawned on me that because it
supplies it's own power (via 9v battery) and has a 1/8 mini plug I
could probably use it as a computer mic too. So I plugged it into my
MacBook Pro and found it works great for recording a voice over or a
  screencast.
Thought that was a cool tip.

[videoblogging] BlogTV new interface

2007-09-11 Thread kfirpravda
Hi,

I have a chat today with my BlogTV contacts. They launched today a new
interface, and I wrote about it here -
http://pravdam.com/2007/09/11/blogtv-new-homepage-signals-content-discovery-as-main-differentiation/

what's your opinion re the differentiation in this market? does
content discovery make the difference? Personally, I think that
branding is the key.

[videoblogging] Vloggers Hubs Project

2007-07-26 Thread kfirpravda

The vlogging industry is young - it doesn't have best practices or
guide books. As such, sharing ideas and lessons learned are keys for
success.

I've taken upon myself an ambitious mission - to map all Vloggers'
online forums and groups. At the end of the process I will publish an
OPML file for the community, that will help all us keep in touch and
meet new people.

If you are interested in contributing to this effort - please check
this post for more information:

Thanks!

Hi guys,

I've opened a vloggers' group in Facebook, where you can find already
160 vloggers and media disruptors (the group is around for 3 weeks, so I
am happy to see these numbers).

I'd like us to use this group in order to keep in touch and communicate.

The group's name is Internet TV, Vbloggers and media disruptors (yes
Kent, you are right, it is much too long), and here is the link:
