[videoblogging] Re: the lamest format (it's not Flash video)

2006-01-20 Thread v1b3n
Has anyone here been playing w/ the new Flash Video Encoder included
w/ Flash 8 Pro? The On2 VPC codec produces a pretty nice file. I
haven't had time to test compression. This output requires the
flash 8 plugin to playback. I have been having some problems with
the new flvplayback component, but all-in-all...the new stuff is
pretty nice. You can included cuepoints before compression, then
call those points with the actionscript. They also included Alpha
layers. Again..I have only been playing with it and haven't
published anything.

Here's an example from my vlog:

Speaking of cool thing w/Actionscript and flash video... Keith

have a webcam...check out his sept. 8th entry. You have to click on

[videoblogging] MT template question

2005-07-25 Thread v1b3n

I'm in the process (albeit slow) of making our vlog template in MT.
Do any MT users in here suggest using includes for commonly used
portions of the site (ie. nav, header, footer, etc..)?

If there is any method to the madness, please enlighten me.  Thanks!

I know that Sorenson Squeeze allows you to break your movie into
seperate flv files where they load sequentally.  Not sure if any
other 3rd party tools do this.

I would suggest the fact the they are extremely conservative on
their books, but New Riders might be more open to the idea Jay.
Really much more of a match for a publisher.
