big difference between downloading and streaming...this is not ipod content they are offering, they are clearly keeping people on their site while things constantly bufferOn 4/11/06,

they already do offer that on itunes, I think making freedownloads of shows with commercials makes sense, but the concept that people would skip over commercials also makes sense...so i guess this is the way they ensure most viewers see the ads

sure, but that still requires you to use itunes. they could simply offer
a non-ad streamed version alongside  the ad supported version. let the
consumer decide if it's worth a buck or two to skip the ads. it would be
an interesting experiment at least.
