[videoblogging] Re: press releases

2005-08-10 Thread Troy LeMaire

Well, personally, I will never forget the discussion that started when
I announced what I had to offer.  Short term it s*cked, but long term I
came away with some really great feedback.

I definitely realized quick, how not to do things.  I find it
interesting the point that Clint made.  For a discussion group sometime
it seems very open, but sometimes it is a very closed off place.

my 2 cents

[videoblogging] Re: Press Pass for Citizen Journalists

2006-04-03 Thread Casey McKinnon
Steve,

As a "citizen's journalist" you should be able to get in to
conventions under most press pases. The best thing to do is to
contact the person in charge of dealing with press and ask if they
extend press passes to video-podcasters/videobloggers. If so, they
will probably want proof that you are who you say you are, so ask them
what sort of credentials/documents they would like you to bring upon
registration.

Communication is always the key... most of the people at these
conventions just want free promotion, so they would be happy to accept
new mediums of communication. Just be professional and ask questions
to clarify what you need to get in.

Good luck,
Casey McKinnon
