Why not just market bundles after someone first installs Miro?

So, what happens when Mom also wants Gardening videos?

using the concepts of player themes. would be slick if groups of
people could make mashup themes and let other download their channel

We have this on mefeedia - you can create a channel. Our channels
allow a group to collaborate on organizing feeds around a theme.

I'd be interested to see what else we can do in this area -
collaborative curation is a very interesting area.

 Really interesting.

It would be cool if there was a way for people to somehow
configure
these
 download all by themselves.

For example a community could maintain their own list of
video blogs.
 (Using XOXO, OPML, or something.)

So for example, if a community had a list of video blogs at:
 http://example.com/thelist/

Then you could configure the download using:
 http://getmiro.com/download?href=http://example.com/thelist/

 (Or something like that.)

 That would be really cool!

Hello,

You know what the great thing about Miro is.. it is open source software.

So.. if it really comes down to it... we could even make Miro do
all this (if the Miro guys don't add these features themselves).

Yes - that is why i love it. We looked into extending Miro, but it
ended up being just too time-consuming. Their co-branded service is
nice too, but the thought of offering a separate Mefeedia/Miro version
just didn't feel right from a technical perspective. It would be great
if they had a plug-in architecture, like Firefox. I believe this is
what they are planning to do for version 2.0, maybe even offer a
Firefox plug-in version.
