This is a newly released paid upgrade for those on WordPress.com - fully featured and very cool for people to now have a true video podcast with easy support at WP.com http://videopress.com/ How does it work? With VideoPress, just upload a video, we’ll “crunch” it into several different formats just right for streaming on the web: DVD quality, HD quality, and even formats optimized for iTunes and Miro. Preview your uploaded video, then embed the video and publish your post. And for all your developers out there, the code is free to use for your own projects: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpresscom-video-server/ Not plug and play yet...but could very well be adapted for self-hosted WP blogs. We've always discussed having a system hooked up to Amazon S3 where you could upload a DV file...and it would compress into multiple formats for your blog and for your archive.
