Re: [Videolib] Media circulation terms

2011-10-30 Thread Chris Lewis
At American U, we have a three-day loan for faculty and students -
though will extend to seven-days if needed. There's no set limit but
once it hits six a supervisor usually steps in with a standard
disclaimer about the high cost of replacement should something really
bad happen.

[Videolib] Lionel Rogosin's GOOD TIMES, WONDERFUL TIMES

2011-10-30 Thread Dennis Doros
Dear friends,

I am looking to borrow a 16mm print or VHS of Lionel Rogosin's GOOD TIMES,
WONDERFUL TIMES. Our restoration HD master and the recent French DVD are
both missing captions and intertitles so I'm looking for an earlier version
from the US that would have these. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Re: [Videolib] Who do you report to?

2011-10-30 Thread Bahr, Philip
Head of Reference Services is my direct supervisor. I also interact with the
Collection Development Librarian, although I have the final and usually only
say on all Media orders. No one else has much time to have an opinion. One of
the Acquisitions paraprofessional full-time workers doesn't report to me, but
does all my ordering. I also interact with cataloging quite a bit for faculty
orders. It seems to work well.
