[Videolib] ALA VRT notable videos on Democracy Now

2015-03-06 Thread Highby, Wendy
Hello colleagues and friends,

We are pleased and happy to report that the 2015 list of Notable Videos for
Adults of the American Library Association's Video Round Table was mentioned
today, March 6, on the news program "Democracy Now" ("A daily independent
global news hour"). Co-anchors Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez briefly discussed
the selection of the film "Harvest of Empire." To see the episode, go to the
Democracy Now website at http://www.democracynow.org/
The references are at these two places (minutes:seconds): 13:22-14:10 and
16:10-17:06.

And here is the location of an informative and detailed blog entry:

A special thank you to the Notables Committee Past Chair Michele McKenzie for
publicizing the list and to the Committee members for their service.

Best,

PUHleez! What a bunch of hyperbole. Interesting enough about the 2700
VHS tapes acquiredŠ. But the statement of being the "first" is a gross
overstatement.

I have added a comment to the pageŠ. Perhaps other VideoLib readers will
feel inclined to add additional notes.
