Re: [Videolib] Christmas, Cowboy and Cake

An update, just in case anyone is still looking for this one. We found it - it
was Stubby Pringle's Christmas, a 1978 Hallmark Hall of Fame starring Beau
Bridges.

Subject: [Videolib] Christmas, Cowboy and Cake

Hi all,
Can you help me identify this movie? The patron thinks it is late '60s or
'70s, was certainly in color. The title *may* be something like Shorty's
Christmas (Shorty being the name of the cowboy).

A cowboy is headed to a Christmas party, but keeps getting delayed. He wants
to bring back a piece of cake for a friend left at home. He is stopped several
times on the trip, including once where he helps a woman with children get
ready for Christmas. When he finally gets to the party, everyone is gone, but
there is one leftover piece of cake. He puts the cake in his coat to take back
to his friend.

  Thanks!
 Nicholle

[Videolib] Zig-zag shelf inserts

2010-06-25 Thread Nicholle Gerharter
Hello -

We are cleaning out our basement and have 32 Zig-zag shelf inserts to sell.

There is a picture on the Demco website
(http://www.demco.com/goto?BLK2586ALL). They fit most standard shelving
units. The ones in the catalog now are plastic, but ours are from about 6 years
ago and are metal. Color is beige.

We bought them to use with DVDs, but have custom built units that the inserts
don’t fit. Great for face out display.

Will sell for $15 each plus shipping.

[Videolib] Documentary film about the Pan-American Highway

2010-04-09 Thread Nicholle Gerharter
Hello Videolibbers!

I have a question from a patron that I'm not having much luck solving.
I'm hoping one of you will remember this documentary and the title.
Here is the story: A group of Florida neighbors decide to buy some
Jeeps (possibly 6 or 7, including 1 Wagoneer) and drive from the far
end of South America all the way to Alaska. They are successful and
have few problems along the way. They use ramps and rafts to get their
Jeeps across various canyons and rivers. The trip probably took place
before the invasion of Panama, which happened in 1989. The patron
thinks the documentary may have been shown on PBS or the History
Channel.

Any takers? I have searched both the PBS and History Channel websites,
and done a lot of keyword searching online. The trouble seems to be
that in recent years, many people have undertaken Jeep trips of the
Pan-American Highway, and they're crowding up my search results.

Thanks!
