Not sure if I remember but it may be the following:

Again, since I never have to login, I'm not sure if I remember exactly.
If the above is incorrect, could you email me my credentials?

Thank you

Re: [Videolib] Recommended "Faculty" Media Development Labs

2011-03-31 Thread Sakarya, Mustafa
Mercy College in NYC area has a Faculty Teaching and Learning Center in their
Bronx and Dobb Ferry campuses, and they have some computers (about 5-6), but
little multi-media production equipment other than a basic PC or mac. The
spaces also house training sessions on eportfolio, Clickers and other
instructional technologies.

Loyola Marymount University has a Faculty Innovation Center
located in their main library and is run by their IT
department. It is pretty awesome.
At Otis, we have a Teaching / Learning Center
 in our library;
faculty can use the space to explore instructional technologies.

Can anyone point me to any, worthy of emulating, high ed institution "faculty"
digital media labs (or "media development lab", or "open-access development
lab" .. .. however the phrase may be, I think you're catching my drift) .. . .
media labs with a focus on faculty (and maybe graduate teachers too).

Thanks

Re: [Videolib] Video Collections for Academic Libraries

2010-09-08 Thread Sakarya, Mustafa
Here at Mercy College we are still ordering DVDs for most items. We no longer
order VHS (it is also less and less available). We have just this month
decided to purchase a Netflix account for the first time (the 8 DVDs at a time,
4 streaming titles at a time package for $47.99 a month) as a trial run.

Dear Colleagues,

Our library is in the process of reviewing its policy for its video collection.
We are interested in finding out how other academic libraries are dealing with
this rapidly-changing area.

Specifically, I am interested in the following:

  * Does your library still order DVD's primarily, or have you switched to
online collections?
  * Have you increased, decreased, or held steady your expenditures on videos?
  * Have you used any unorthodox methods for delivering video content to your
users, such as Netflix?

Any feedback you can give on questions such as these would be greatly
appreciated.

I haven't used it in a while and your note makes me realize we should
discontinue the standing order.

Hi,
Does anyone know a distributor for the 1988 film, "Sur" by Argentinian

Or any other way to acquire this film?

Thank you kindly!
