Re: [Videolib] Almanya: Willkommen in Deutschland DVD / Subtitles in German?
Dear Meghann, there definitely are no German subtitles for the the complete dialogue, only for the parts with Turkish dialogue - just as your test has already shown http://www.kinofans.com/Kino-News/DVD-/-Blu-ray/ALMANYA-Wilkommen-in-Deutschland-ab-13.-Oktober-auf-DVD/BR-E4116.htm Best Peter Peter Delin Ringstraße 100 12203 Berlin Germany Tel.: +4930/81305675 Mail: peter.de...@gmx.de https://dvdbiblog.wordpress.com/ Gesendet: Freitag, 07. Hello All, Hoping one of you might be able to help me out with a Friday puzzle. We recently purchased this DVD for one of our German professors: Almanya : Willkommen in Deutschland The Amazon record AND the WorldCat record both indicate that there are German and Turkish subtitles available on this disc. We have not been able to get either of those subtitle tracks to work. (Using the subtitle button on our remotes allows us to select either subtitle option, but nothing shows up on the screen unless the characters are speaking in Turkish -- then the German subtitles appear.) We've tried it in three separate region-free players, but no go. If any of you have this DVD in your collection and would be able to verify for me whether it does or does not have subtitles, I'd be very appreciative. (Trying to decide whether we've ended up with a defective one / if sending it back for another copy is worth our time.) Thanks in advance, -- Meghann Matwichuk, M.S.
