Re: [Videolib] New Streaming Service? Bicycle Thieves?

2016-04-29 Thread Will Whalen
As Ben mentioned in a separate string on FilmStruck, Alexander Street also
licenses The Criterion Collection, both as a stand-alone product and as
single titles, Bicycle Thieves included.

We offer Criterion through PDA, as well, including a Feature Film PDA
profile, which includes exclusive catalogs from Zeitgeist, Pragda,
Oscilloscope, and select First Run and Film Movement titles.

Nothing we had not already figured out but Corinth confirmed that the
previous contract with Image ( which had licensed it to Swank) ended at end
of 2015 and now Criterion ( which licenses to Kanopy) has the license,
though Corinth also had it available directly.

Re: [Videolib] New Streaming Service? Bicycle Thieves?

2016-04-28 Thread Wochna, Lorraine
Hi all,
Your thoughts?
Kanopy just lost the license to stream Bicycle Thieves. G.
Not sure if any other vendor is taking up the slack, but I’m thinking this
Criterion/FilmStruck deal has something to do with it.
G.
Thanks for any info on Bike Thieves.
Best,
lorraine

Jessica is correct, educational streaming is not part of this service.
Each distributor will maintain their current
non-theatrical/educational structures for the time being. This is
simply a shift of home-media digital platforms.
