Re: [Videolib] name that film noir
A "real" noir or neo? Blood Simple Spare, stylish, and totally satisfying, from the retro opening credit sequence where the windshield wipers "wash away" the text to the startling but not unexpected conclusion. > Dear Collective Memory, > > I am trying to find the title to a film that begins with the camera > inside a car on a dark and stormy night. Re: [Videolib] name that film noir
It appears to fit the bill, but I was thinking black and white. Still, the names are wiped off by the wipers. Perhaps there are more films using this approach and Blood Simple is referencing an earlier film? Thanks Dusty for getting me more deeply involved in the search! Re: [Videolib] name that film noir
The Coen Brothers' neo-noir Blood Simple opens that way--could that be the film you're thinking of...?
