I find that opening viking on a file with osm, terraserver topos and
terraserver aerieals results in a file being writting in
~/.viking/cookies.txt
# Netscape HTTP Cookie File
# http://curl.haxx.se/rfc/cookie_spec.html
# This file was generated by libcurl! Edit at your own risk.
.google.com TRUE / FALSE 1334106458 PREF ID=[redacted]
Why is this? I wasn't trying to configure anything to talk to google,
and I didn't decide to take/store/resend a cookie.
I see it it curl_download.c:get_cookie_file, but there are no comments
explaining why.
I was surprised to see this too.
I presume it might be used if one uses the 'Goto address/place' feature with
Google, however it shouldn't need to connect to google until really necessary.
