What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. search for any string that is present in the edited buffer
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
no occurrences marked on/next to scrollbar
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Included patches: 1-547
(Xubuntu 12.10)
